Last week Maegan told us about legendary singer and actor Antonio Aguilar‘s struggle for his life against a severe pneumonia. People en Español is reporting that after a week of marked improvement in Aguilar’s health, the latest news this afternoon is that he has had to be moved to the intesive car unit to undergo hemodialysis, a procedure employed to clean the liver.

Aguilar’s doctor had this to say:

“Our greatest wish and the wish of his family is that Don Antonio get to leave the heart unit and continue his recovery on the third floor, where he’ll be able to recieve a few more visits in addition to those with Pepe and Flor, who have been with him since he was admitted.”

We wish the Aguilar family the very best, and Antonio a quick recovery. We’ll keep you posted on how this develops.
