20061024_094928_CD25_obama_500.jpgSince it’s time to court the Latino vote, what better a way to do that than with a reggaeton anthem written in support of Barack Obama:

How do you say it…What’s his name? (OBAMA, OBAMA)”
Listen up my people this is a prepared man…
Hope has arrived
How do you say it… What’s his name?
OBAMA! OBAMA! (Repeat four times)

They say we don’t count…
That we are invisible because we don’t vote…
But here we are and all this is gonna change …
We did the rallies and now we gonna vote.
Listen to me people, it’s time for something different.
What we need is a new president…
How do you say it… What’s his name?
OBAMA! OBAMA! (Repeat two times)

All the Mexicans What’s his name?
OBAMA! OBAMA!
All the Puertoricans What’s his name?
OBAMA! OBAMA!
All the Peruvians What’s his name?
OBAMA! OBAMA!

After four months, Castro’s back

cubaviet5-g.jpgCuban leader Fidel Castro reappeared over the weekend, in his first appearance on Cuban television in four months. Ten months after giving over power to his brother Raul, Castro is back and acting as if that never happened, as he signed an oil agreement with Vietnamese Communist Party leader Nong Duc Manh.

Does this mean Castro is back in the driver’s seat? I don’t know, but what I do know is that if I were Chavez, that photo would make me jealous.

While gay rumors have surrounded him for years, unlike other celebs, pop tart Enrique Iglesias has always taken them with good humor. And apparently aware that a big part of his fan base are gay men, Enrique serenaded one of them at a recent concert in London. Says Towleroad:

Normally when he performs the track Hero he invites a girl up on stage to serenade her, but given his audience, things were a bit different this time. The crowd went wild as Iglesias asked a young man on stage and unabashedly gave him the treatment.

Awwwwww!

abortion.jpgIt’s been just over a month since early term abortions were legalized in Mexico City and already the procedure is at risk of being repealed. Mexico’s Supreme Court said it will hear a legal challenge to the law legalizing abortion. In the meantime, the capital’s mayor promised hospitals would continue to perform abortions.

I think Republican Presidential candidate John McCain was trying to defend the current immigration reform that is being debated in the Senate but him and fellow righty/whitey just came out a little wrong. Won’t someone think of the Christian white men!
