JLo to bring her love story with Marc to TV

j-lo-rat-anthony-pregnant.jpgThank you, People en Español, for warning me that I need to avoid Univisión like the plague during the primetime hour in the near future. It seems that JLo is planning a thinly-veiled autobiographical musical (!) miniseries (ay, too many things I hate wrapped into one) about the pressures of her fame, her breakup with Ben Affleck and subsequent falling into the arms of Mr. Skeletor.

The plot, says an executive from Nuyorican Films, will revolve around a singer named Sofía Márquez who is constantly in the public eye. She is involved in a scandal and escapes from her boyfriend to later reunite with a old friend from the past. The protagonist then discovers that the friend, a singer named Diego, has something special for her.

Oh, I’ll bet he does. Something really special.

That actually sounds like her “escape” from P-Diddy, then a jump cut to Marc. Did she write Ben out of the script all together? Hell, I probably would.

When probed, the Nuyorican spokesperson said that yes, “there are autobiographical elements”, though JLo will make no appearances in the series and will only supply the music.

Somehow this doesn’t seem like the smartest career move. But then again, right now it seems that Jen is trying a little bit of everything, though many detractors say that most of it isn’t panning out.
