Antonio Banderas is a Don Juan

antonio.jpgSpanish actor Antonio Banderas hasn’t been caught cheating on long time wife Melanie Griffith. Banderas will return to the Broadway stage as Don Juan in a new musical production slated to start next year. The music for the production is being done by none other than Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolalla, and a script by Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz.

I am not a huge musical theatre fan but I’ve heard that Banderas is quite good on stage and playing a historical Latin lover no less? Plus with an award winning musical director and an award winning script writer, how bad can it be?

Hopefully not as bad as Paul Simon and Marc Anthony’s failed attempt to conquer Broadway!

Whoa, I hadn’t heard of that. I hope this isn’t as bad as Take the Lead, which, incidentally, I saw last night.
