Ay Mama, Que Bebé!

tonio192.jpgMy uterus hurt this morning upon seeing the baby called Super Toño, born via C section (thankfully) this past Monday in Cancun, Mexico. What makes Antonio Vasconcelos so super? How about 14 pounds 8 ounces and 22 inches? That’s well over two of my new baby. Super Toño’s mami, 23 year old Teresa Alejandra Cruz, has given birth to a relatively large baby before. Her now seven year old daughter weighed 11.46 pounds. Super Toño is healthy, drinking about 5 ounces of milk every 3 hours but he isn’t the biggest baby born.

In Brazil, a baby born in January 2005 in the city of Salvador weighed 16 pounds, 11 ounces at birth. According to Guinness World Records, the heaviest baby born to a healthy mother was a boy weighing 22 pounds, 8 ounces, born in Aversa, Italy, in September 1955.
