Shakira Wins Yet Another Award : People’s Choice

shakira.jpgIs anyone else getting a little tired of Shakira. Don’t get me wrong, I think she’s beautiul and talented and respect much of her humanitarian work but I think my hips have had enough of Hips Don’t Lie (or maybe my daughter just plays Shaki’s music too damn much). The general population can’t seem to get enough the Colombiana and her caderas. Shakira and her song were granted the People’s Choice Award in the catagory of Pop Song of 2006 on January 9th in Los Angeles. Shakira wasn’t presente at the ceremony because she’s in Europe prepping for her tour there.

Hola chicas. Univision is not accurate when they say that Shakira was the only Latina winner of the night. Eva Longoria also won an award (favorite female TV actress) and Cameron Diaz won as well (Choice Leading Lady).

Have you heard the latest Alejandro Sanz song? Shakira joins him halfway, whispering in the background.. sounds very special :) And no hip shaking in the video either, she and Alejandro dance stylish through the night…

You can check it out at my blog by the way.
