Campaign to keep undocumented children here

In response to the growing problem of deportation separating families, a non-profit organization is looking for ways to keep kids in the U.S. even if their parents are expelled from the U.S. The rationale is that kids should be able to take advantage of the opportunities that this country offers since the living conditions in the home countries of their parents may be less than optimal, the circumstance which motivated the family to immigrate in the first place.
Osvaldo Cabrera, President of the coaltion, told Efe "this initiative arises from the need to protect minors who have the right to, because they were born in this country, to grow up as American citizens and have better possibilities of development and social protection."So what's worse, a family split by deportation but with successful children, or a united family living in poverty?"Family desintegration is a sad and cruel reality, as is the situation in which children must go with their countries to a country where conditions of poverty and extremse need determine their future,"he said.

This whole argument about "separation of families" is specious. The parents put their own families in jeopardy by their actions. Did they think that having children in the U.S. gives them more rights as illegal aliens to demand citizenship and immunity from prosecution for their crimes?
If I was arrested for any crime, I wouldn't have the option of taking my kids with me to jail. These illegal aliens should be happy they have the option to take their children back home with them to their country of origin. No one is separating them from their children. Illegal alien children have no right to be here, they should be with their parents. Anchor babies should be with their parents ....they can always come back to the U.S. later.
