No it’s not the latest VL giveaway, it’s the latest Planned Parenthood givaeaway. Today is Free EC Day. Across the United States, 350 different Planned Parenthood health centers are playing Santa Claus, giving away Plan B to men and women, regardless of age, while supplies last. In August the FDA approved the so called morning after pill without a ‘script for women 18 and older but because Planned Parenthood is medically staffed, those younger will be able to access it.
“Emergency contraception is your second chance to prevent pregnancy if the condom breaks, you miss two or more birth control pills, have been raped or have unprotected sex,” Dr. Vanessa Cullins, vice president for medical affairs at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said in a Planned Parenthood press release. “Every woman deserves every chance to prevent unintended pregnancy.”
So stock up ladies and gentlemen, even if you don’t need emergency contraception now, you may in the future or may know a young woman who will need need it. Since it was approved by the FDA, not all pharmacies have been quick to stock it, meaning what should be available readily, isn’t always.
ABC News has a list of participating Planned Parenthood centers and affiliates across the U.S.

Hi Vivir Latino,
I was happy to find your site, designed to appeal to a Latino audience. I was even more proud to see your article titled, “Get Your Free Morning After Pill.” My only complaint is that the pills pictured next to the article were of Preven and not Plan B. Preven brand EC pills are no longer being manufactured.
I’m project director of an Emergency Contraception Initiative and if anyone needs help accessing California programs or finding EC, they can call our toll-free California EC Hotline at 1-800-521-5211.
Thanks, Anna GarcĂa
