Last Friday at the 7th Annual Latin Grammy Awards, actor René Lavan, who was a presenter, proved to be no exception. Backstage at Madison Square Garden, Lavan, who was born in Artemisa, Cuba said that if Ernesto “el Che” Guevara were alive today he would be like an Osama Bin Laden. This was said while Lavan spoke about his role as Miguel in yet another film about el Che Guevara. The film, Guerrilla, in pre- production now and set to be released in 2008 stars Benecio Del Toro. Del Toro plays el Che during a visit to New York City to address the United Nations.
