Live Blogging from the Latin Grammy Awards

Latin%20Grammy%20pre%20004.jpgI’m reporting live from inside Madison Square Garden where the 7th Annual Latin Grammy Awards are set to take place later. As you can see from the picture, crowds have already begun to line up outside by the green carpet to catch a fleeting glimpse of their favorite celeb. What they may or may not know is that many of the celebs are inside already doing a final run through. In fact I’m watching Kate Del Castillo on stage now, complete with fake applause. La India just got on stage to practice, wearing a grey fur coat and sunglasses. She’s doing a salsa tribute singing clasics. Shortly the Pre-Telecast Awards will be given out, including catagories like Best Merengue Album and Best Ranchero Album.

I’m not gonna front, it’s a little chaotic up in MSG. It could be a little more organized. I didn’t exactly get the hook up I wanted so I am not sure how fast I’ll be able to post. But always looking on the up side, I do have a good spot right off the stage where the celebs will do interviews and photo ops after winning or losing.

Stay tuned, much more to come………..
