Notice the NY Times used the euphemism "Mexican immigrant" to describe the parents of the 300th million U.S. citizen born in the U.S. What they meant to say, is here's the anchor baby born to two illegal aliens from Mexico. Cause to celebrate? I think not.

funny...being that latinos are the largest minority in the US i felt it appropriate that the 300,000,000th person was a latino. i didn't read anything into the parents being called "mexican immigrants"...then again, the daughter of a former illegal immigrant (now US citizen) would have focused on their joy instead of discriminating them.

Gee and I always thought that aliens came from outer space, not Mexico.
They are immigrants, regardless of their status. That is not a euphemism and just FYI because obviously someone didn't read the entire original article, this is not their first child. So they didn't need an "anchor baby", which is a horribly offensive term.

How appropriate that the 300,000,000 resident is the daughter of two criminal immigrants.
Its not the child fault, but its a sad commentary on America.
