Democratic Ad Offensive to Latinos?

A recent ad sponsored by the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has come to my attention because it is coming under attack from both Republicans and Democrats for being offensive to Latinos.
Pedro Celis, chairman of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly, said in a statement Tuesday that the DSCC should remove the ad because it vilifies illegal Hispanic immigrants and is "appalling."Houston City Councilwoman Carol Alvarado, a Democrat, sent a letter to DSCC Chairman Sen. Charles Schumer of New York asking that the ad be pulled. She said it could alienate Latino voters.
I visted the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee's website and had to search a bit for the video which claims to attack the Republican party's hold on having security as its #1 priority. The ad lasts all of 30 some seconds and features a montage of Republican security failures like less law enforcement, less body armor for troops, there is a shot of Osama Bin Laden and Iran's president. But look carefully because slipped between images of uninspected cargo containers and scary North Korea is the image of someone (presumably Latino) climbing over a fence (presumably a border fence) along with the caption "Millions more illegal immigrants".
I am against using fear as a tactic to gain votes in general, but yeah to put immigration as an issue in the midst of pics of "terrorists" like Osama Bin Laden makes the immigration issue a security isssue. It makes undocumented immigrants seem dangerous, as dangerous as Iran and North Korea's nuclear weapons program. Wow. Yeah as a Latina who votes I'm offended.
Check out the video for yourself.
Edited to add that the offensive ad has since been moved or removed. So the above link is no longer correct.
Are you offended?

It's totally offensive, and should be to the whole of us who identify with the "left" because Dems are supposedly the lesser of two evils. This certainly makes me feel more isolated from them than before.

Si Mr. Chuleta- the ad was removed very quietly last night. I'm glad they removed it- but they still should have to own up to up and explain themselves.
