Last week we told you about a Uruguayan model, Luisel Ramos, who died of a heart attack while on the catwalk during Fashion Week in Montevideo. According to her father, the model had been starving herself for days, but now others have come forward to dispute that allegation, including her boyfriend who had dined with her the day night before the fashion show.
…amongst the pain of yesterday, after Luisel’s burial, her boyfriend Hairo Berrondo clarified that this [the starving] wasn’t true. Berrondo said that he has known her for ten years, and that he’s been her boyfriend for two and a half.“The night before the fashion show we went out to eat pizza, with two friends of hers…she had a diet soft drink but ate well,” he said.
In response to the different versions of the story being circulated by the media, the model’s boyfriend confirmed that “[Luisel] was neither anorexic nor bulimic.”
Berrondo also dicsounted the possibility of her doing drugs or being an alcoholic. “She didn’t even drink beer,” he said.
According to Spain’s 20 Minutos, an autopsy proved that the model did not suffer from an eating disorder nor was she addicted to drugs or alcohol.

While the street parties in Miami are slowing down as people figure out the Fidel Castro isn’t dead, speculation remains as to when and even if the bearded one will take back his place as the leader of Cuba. Even the official word out of Cuba is mixed. Cuban Vice President Carlos Lage said that Fidel would be back at work “in weeks”. Roberto Fernandez Retamar, a member of Cuba’s Council of State says it’s gonna be a few months before Fidel gets back to official presidential work. It’s not clear if U.S. analysts are basing their info on super secret spies or are just being optimistic but “experts” are saying Fidel is never coming back. Jaime Suchlicki, director of the Institute of Cuban and Cuban-American Studies in Miami said:
Succession has taken place. Fidel Castro is not returning, and if he is returning, it will be in a ceremonial cap.
I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Last week our own Jenny from the block reported that Jennifer Lopez was not doing the film version of Dallas. This week we may know why. Various bochinche websites are reporting that the NYC rag, the NY Post wrote that J. Jo. thought…:
The script sucks. And John Travolta? If it had been a man’s man like Ed Harris or Tommy Lee Jones, but you don’t just go from doing ‘Hairspray’ to ‘Dallas’.
Jennifer Lopez is widely known for her careful script selection. Right?
