McConaughey: Penelope pressured me

1602_mcconaughey_a.jpgLast month we told youthat Spanish actress Penelope Cruz and Texan actor Matthew McConaughey had split. At that time, the couple cited pressures caused by having a long-distance relationship as the key factor influencing their break-up. Now, Matthew is saying that the pressure was of an entirely different kind: it was Penelope pressuring him to get married. According to LaBotana.com:

According to online magazine Famapop, the reason for the breakup between Spanish actress Penélope Cruz and actor Matthew McConaughey, was the pressure that “Pé” put on him to talk about wedding plans.

Matt said in a recent interview that he wasn’t ready to take that big step, meanwhile Cruz told the press in her country that her greatest desire was to get married and have a family.

It’s nice to know that Hollywood men are just like ordinary men. They hear the word “marriage” and run for the hills.

4. There’s no invasion
5. They speak English, just not “English only.”
6. They do not drain public coffers

These are all things that we have written about before, but they are worth repeating.
