Bloggers: Make Rocío Jurado a saint

20060627l40l40not_18_Ies_SCO.jpgA group of bloggers is demanding the beatification of the late Spanish singer Rocío Jurado, who passed away after a bout with cancer last month, according to Spain's 20 Minutos newspaper:

The blog http://rocio-jurado-santa.blogspot.com/ has opened up debate about "la más grande" whom it describes as an exceptional singer that has inspired such artistic devotion, the intensity of which is comparable only to spiritual devotion.
Somehow I don't see the Vatican signing off on this anytime soon, but props to these people (who appear to be from Estonia) for their enthusiasm :)
