Why Yo Amo NYC en el Verano

We may not have the greatest (read cleanest)beaches pero the big mango has plenty to get excited about during the summer especially when it comes to FREE musical offerings. One of my personal favorites is Central Park's SummerStage that always offers up some hot Latino acts for all musical tastes. This year the lineup includes Ska Cubano, Seu Jorge, Jose Gonzalez, Alex Cuba Band, a noche flamenca, From Mambo to Hip Hop, and the 4th Brazilian Film Festival of New York: This Is Bossa Nova, Lenine. I will personally be hitting most of these shows (with my camera) but I think I'm most excited about the hip-hop rock en espanish mash up offered on August 5 with Puerto Rico's Calle 13 and Argentino Gustavo Cerati (just writing about it is getting me all hyped).
