Why We Should Care About the Mexican Election
The answer has nothing to do with immigration (well maybe it does - just a little). According to an article posted at AlterNet, we in the United States could learn a few things from the upcoming Mexican presidential election scheduled to take place this coming Sunday. The three candidates to watch are Andres Manuel López Obrador aka AMLO of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD), Felipe Calderón Hinosa, of outgoing Presidente Fox's National Action Party (PAN), and Robert Madrazo of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
So according to AlterNet why should we watch the Mexican election?
