marc_anthony_150x200.jpgHe may look like a little shrimp of a man, but don’t mess with Marc Anthony — or worse — his wife JLo. Marc apparently got in a scuffle with a photographer who was pursuing his wife last week at an awards ceremony:

The irate star yelled at photographers to keep their distance outside the Women in Film Awards in Century City, Calif., but exploded as one pushed him out of the way to get closer to his wife.

Lopez, who was hailed for her charity work at the event, had briefly stopped for a photo with co-host Nicola Maramotti.

A source tells the New York Daily News, “One photographer shoved Marc as he was trying to break through the crowd to get the photo.

“Marc fumed ‘Don’t ever push me again, and step back! Step back away from them’

“He physically shoved one guy back.”

I’d like to see a tape of this, but the way it’s told here sounds like he’s overreacting a la Sean Penn in the Madonna days.

Galilea_N.jpgGawker Stalker ain’t got nothing on VL. Today a certain chain store in NYC’s Manhattan Mall on 34th Street was visited by not one but two Latino celebs. Rican merenguero and everyone’s favorite baby daddy, Elvis Crespo, was shopping in Strawberry sporting his normal hair color and buying a three dollar accessory for said hair. Ms. Galilea Montijo, was inside the same Manhattan Mall store today but wasn’t as friendly. When she was recognized by store employees and asked for an autograph the Vida TV estrella said “Tengo prisa,” and asked to be charged for her items.

rosie_perez.jpgActress Rosie Perez says she got so fed up with trying to explain her cultural background to people that she decided to make a documentary about it, according to Star Pulse:

Rosie Perez was compelled to make her directorial debut a documentary about her roots because she was sick of having to explain her Puerto Rican pride to others. Perez was born and raised in New York but was always taught to take pride in her Latino roots.

After realizing how tough American life can be for Puerto Rican ex-patriots she decided to make a movie about her parents’ homeland. And, while making “Yo Soy Boricua, Pa’que Tu Lo Sepas! (I’m Boricua, Just So You Know!),” the actress recalled childhood memories where she was made to feel stupid – because of her background.

No WallsWhile President Bush is sending National Guard troops to the U.S. Mexico border, while people send bricks to help build a border wall, and while cameras allow internet users to watch the Southern border alongside the Minutemen one big fact remains, that millions of undocumented immigrants didn’t climb a wall over the border to be in the United States.

The little-acknowledged reality is that nearly half the estimated 12 million undocumented foreigners in the United States entered on bona fide U.S. visas — and simply never left. Authorities call them “overstays” who have been largely overlooked in the vitriolic debate on immigration.
