estatuilla.jpg This is the home stretch mi gente.

10:54- John Travolta is presenting Best Cinematography. Dion Beebe won for Memoirs of a Geisha. Damn there were two Latinos nominated here. I thought out chances were so good.

10:57 – Jaime Foxx took off his shades to present Best Actress in a Leading Role. And the winner is…..Reese Witherspoon. Why did she kiss her man on the cheek? Was she so worried about messing up her lipstick? Ay I was hoping Felicity Huffman would win.

11:07 – Dustin Hoffman is presenting Best Adapted Screenplay. The Oscar goes to the writers of Brokeback Mountain.

11:13- Wow did Uma Thurman get blonde or what? She is presenting Best Screenplay and the Oscar goes to the writer’s of Crash.

11:18 – Tom Hanks with shorter hair is presenting Best Director. And the winner is Ang Lee for Brokeback Mountain.

11:22 – Here’s Jack! Jack Nicholson presenting Best Picture. The winner is…….Crash. Wow that’s a surprise!!! Aww they just shut the mic mid-speech.

I’m sure there is one more joke Jon Stewart has to make and then I can go to sleep.
11:29- Nope. No joke, just a good night.

I hope you enjoyed VL’s live Oscar coverage. We’ll see you in the morning. Until then.

Great job Mala! Amazing coverage!

I’m going to bed depressed because Brokeback didn’t get the big award. I loved Crash, but I thought the whole package (cinematography, direction, acting, etc.) was superior in Brokeback.
