belbin-agosto.jpg In general Latinos (however you want to define them) are thought of as a warm or, dare I say, hot blooded people even though , as many of us know, we also live in cold places with ice and snow. Some of us make a sport of it and if you’ve been watching the 2006 Olympics in Torino, especially if you watched last night you know one of those is Benjamin Agosto. Last night he and his partner, Canadian born newly made U.S. citizen to compete under the stars and stripes, Tanith Belbin melted the ice with their Original Dance portion of the Ice Dance competition.

After making it to 6th place with their Saturday Compulsory Dance performance, last night the team had Salsa con Coco by el Gran Combo and J. Lo’s Let’s Get Loud to help them move up to second place. Stay tuned tonight to watch Benjamin Agosto, of Puerto Rican descent, and his partner in the free dance portion to see if they can close the 1.38 point gap that keeps them away from the gold.
