Just like every Valentine’s Day, one of those online dating sites a la Match.com puts out an “insightful” study into what is on our minds with regards to love. This year is no exception, as San Diego-based MejorAmor.com has decided to delve into the hearts and minds of Latino lovers in the U.S. and in Latin America. Here’s what they found:
— More than 82% of Latino men and women say that the best things about Valentine’s Day is not a gift, but spending it with the person they love.
- More than 30% of Latina polled said that the worst thing about Valentine’s Day is when everyone at the office gets flowers except you.
- 75% of single Latino men consider Valentine’s Day the “most romantic day of the year”.
My favorite was this one (sorry, it loses something in the translation):
That’s right, ladies and gents. If they paid for your dinner tonight, they’ll be expecting something in return.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
