Last year VL told readers about how the U.S. Air Force was trying to attract Latino young people using Spanish language rock. Well the military is at it again. According to an article in the New York Times:
The Army also parades rigged-out, juiced-up Hummers wherever youths gather as promotional tools.
The army has ads that have been on heavy rotation on both Univision and Telemundo television and radio networks and have full color spreads in magazines read by Latino youth.

What you see is the header of a story in the men’s magazine Fuego. The article asks:
Latinos have come a long way with the movies roles they’re offered. Why haven’t Latinas?
The article continues to ask why Latinas continue to be portrayed in such sexist, misogynistic, and racist roles like stripper or maid. Does anyone else think it odd that this question is coming from a revista with a half naked Ana Carolina on the cover with the headline:
Bottoms Up! Ana Carolina Tops You Off
Just Checking.
