Paty Manterola: Not a Mexican JLo

Well, I certainly hope not. We have enough JLo as it is. But Paty seems a bit picada with the comparisons being made between the two as a result of each woman's latest respective film roles. You see they are both in new films about musician Hector Lavoe; and like good females rivales in real life, JLo plays Hector's second wife and Paty his first.

"We're not playing the same part. She (JLo) is playing his 'Puchi', Lavoe's second wife, so these comparisons are pointless," she said

Pointless, sure -- but fun!

The J-Lo film, co-produced by her and Marc Anthony and the Paty film, directed by Anthony Felton (and co-starring another novela star, Francisco Gattorno as Willie Colón) are being shot simultaneously in Puerto Rico and New York and may premiere at the same time.

Do I smell a cat fight? Oh, I certainly hope so.
