Well, I certainly hope not. We have enough JLo as it is. But Paty seems a bit picada with the comparisons being made between the two as a result of each woman’s latest respective film roles. You see they are both in new films about musician Hector Lavoe; and like good females rivales in real life, JLo plays Hector’s second wife and Paty his first.
“We’re not playing the same part. She (JLo) is playing his ‘Puchi’, Lavoe’s second wife, so these comparisons are pointless,” she said
Pointless, sure — but fun!

The New York Times reports today on the fashion rage that is sweeping Bolivia as a result of the couture of President Evo Morales. It seems that everyone and their mom wants a copy of the now infamous sweater that Evo wore during his audience with Spain’s president, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, the King of Spain, Juan Carlos and other European dignitaries:
Lately, though, it is not just Mr. Morales’s oratory or policies that are getting attention, but his clothing, especially the multistriped sweater he wore to meet world leaders last month during a tour of Madrid, Beijing and beyond, before his inauguration on Jan. 22. Copies of the sweater are flying off the shelves in La Paz, the capital, at $10 each.

Spanish singer David Bisbal has been chosen to sing the official song of the upcoming Winter Olympics in Torino. The duet, titled Let’s Make History, will be sung with Joana Zimmer. The song, which originates from a German film, will be featured throughout the winter games, accompanying the ongoing updates highlighting the best of the games. This move could give a bigger push to Bisbal who is trying to break out from being just a “Spanish singer” and releasing his first European English language single Cry for me. But will this theme song be as catchy as the official song of the 1998 World Cup, The Cup of Life?.
