Latinos Get Golden Globe Nominations

golden-globe_l_0.jpg The nominees for the 2006 Golden Globe Awards were announced today with nuestra gente represented across various entertainment genres. Brazilian Fernando Meirelles of City of God fame was nominated in the category of Best Director for his work on The Constant Gardener. Gustavo Santaolalla de Argentina was nominated in the category of Best Original Score for Brokeback Mountain. He previously worked on the scores of The Motorcycle Diaries and 21 Grams. Desperate housewife Eva Longoria was nominated in the category of Best Performance by an actress in Musical or Comedy Television Series.

The 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will be given out on January 16 of the coming year.
