She’s not a vieja yet, though she’ll be playing one in her new movie, El Cantante, which features J-Lo alongside her longtime husband, Marc Anthony. From a snarky British article:
With her face lined with wrinkles, gaudy make-up and unkempt hair, this is Jennifer Lopez as you have never seen her before.
The singer and actress, who normally has flawless skin, was made up to look much older than her 36 years as she shot her latest film El Cantante in New York with husband Marc Antony.
Sounds great, tell me more…
‘She looked at least ten years older and several million dollars poorer,’ said an onlooker. ‘You could almost imagine that this is what her older sister who never got out of the Bronx might look like.’
Ouch.
Miss Lopez has bypassed her usual blockbuster fare to make the small independent film. El Cantante tells the story of salsa singer Hector Lavoe who found fame in America in the 1970s but became addicted to heroin and died penniless of an Aids-related illness. Antony, a Latino singer, plays Lavoe while Miss Lopez plays his wife Puchi.
I can’t wait to see Marc Anthony acting. Prediction: field day for the critics.

That is messed up. And mira I’m no J-lo fan. What the article failed to say is that Marc Anthony has looked the part of drug addicted Hector Lavoe for some time now. ha ha.
