Addicted to other people’s pictures: Latinos on Flickr

flickrscreenshot.jpgPeople who know me know I am addicted to Flickr, the most amazing photo sharing site on the web (by the way, I’m not associated with Flickr — this is real live consumer evangelism). It’s a place where would-be voyeurs clamor for photos from quasi exhibitionists who share everything from what they had for breakfast to to the way they dressed in the 70s. It’s great entertainment, and the best example of a community-building site I’ve seen yet.

After spending some time on Flickr, I’ve gotten to see a wave of subcommunities building as well. People with similar interests, in the same city, or of the same ethnicity, etc. post photos to group pools. Here are my picks for Latino-themed groups that VL readers visiting Flickr for the first time should check out:

Latin Flavor

Pochos Unidos

Puerto Rican Sun

Latinoamericanos!

Mexicanos!

Fotos hispanos

This is just a small sampling of Latino groups on Flickr. Get in there and join one, or create one of your own!

I probably spend about 75% of my online time on flickr.com. It’s the best.
